- A new home for everything. A slim rail down the left takes you anywhere in one click: your books, the manuscript, the story bible, reports, the designers and settings. Hover a destination to see its keyboard shortcut. The sidebar beside it shows only what that page is about: your chapters on the Editor, your cast on Characters, and so on.
- The editor gets a top bar. See where you are at a glance (chapter › scene), switch between Editor, Corkboard and Outliner without losing your place, open the whole chapter as one document with Verkado, or go full screen.
- Front and back matter, handled. Dedication, epigraph, acknowledgments and the rest leave the sidebar for their own tab in Book Metadata. Turn each page on or off, choose print, ebook or both, and keep the standard publishing order or set your own. Verkilo can also add an Also By list from your other books, an About the Author page, a newsletter invitation, a review request and a preview of your next book, each written once for the whole project.
- Your day at a glance. A status bar along the bottom keeps today’s words against your daily goal in view whatever you’re doing, with one-click switches for the background tint and light or dark mode.
- Smoother all round. Sidebars slide in and out, pages fade in instead of jumping, and full screen grows out of the page. The AI destination only appears once you’ve added an API key.
